Tourist Emergency Guide

Simple, practical steps for tourists using only the supplied seed guidance and service records.

What to do in a medical emergency

Call 112 first for serious symptoms, accidents, drowning, chest pain, heavy bleeding or unconsciousness. Use the health centre, clinics or hospital only for non-life-threatening care.

What to do if you do not speak Spanish

Call 112 and start with your location. The seed data notes Spanish, English and German support for 112 Canarias. Speak slowly and keep someone near the phone.

What to do if you need a pharmacy

Use the pharmacy section, but verify current opening times and farmacia de guardia duty before travelling because rota information changes.

What to do if you need police

Call 112 if there is immediate danger. For theft or lost documents, ask the appropriate police authority where to file a denuncia/report.

What to do after an accident

Move to safety if possible, call 112 for injuries or danger, collect insurance details when safe, and keep copies of reports for insurers.

What documents tourists should have ready

Keep passport/ID, EHIC/TSE or private insurance, accommodation address, medication list, allergies, emergency contact and phone battery/power bank ready.
